Eat Better, Feel Better.

Eat better, feel better. It truly is that simple. The problem is that so many people are so confused about the best foods to eat. And no wonder—nutrition advice seems to change every day: Carbs are good, carbs are bad; fat is bad, fat is good; eat one egg a week, eat eggs every day; butter is bad, butter is good; eat less protein, eat more protein. . .and on and on and on.

I know how conflicting the information has been because I’ve been researching, writing and editing food, nutrition, fitness and healthy lifestyle magazine articles for over 30 years. I also know—through my science-based nutrition certification program and a lot of additional research—that there is one best way to eat better and feel better. It starts with whole foods.

When you eat real food—fresh, organic produce, whole grains, high-quality fish, organic, grass fed meats, pasture-raised poultry and eggs, nuts and seeds—and eliminate sugar, refined carbs and processed food, you gain energy, decrease bloat, support your immune system, improve digestion, sleep better, have a more positive mindset about food and your body, feel less stressed, increase mental clarity—and lose weight without trying.

I am passionate about nutrition, wellness and fitness, and my goal is to help you make the healthiest meal and snack choices, smart-shop the grocery store, create weekly menus based on what works for your lifestyle, cook simple, nutritious recipes, lose extra pounds, and never feel deprived or hungry. No calorie-counting, no gimmicky shakes, no fasting or food weighing. Changing the way you eat can be challenging, but together we can create a personalized, sustainable plan and I will support you every step of the way.

 

 You Are What You Eat

The most nutrient-rich foods make us healthier, stronger and smarter. The vitamins and minerals in whole, unprocessed, organic food are essential for our bodies to function optimally and to help prevent disease. The most recent scientific evidence cites an epidemic of chronic inflammation and links the condition to dozens of illnesses from diabetes and dementia to heart disease and cancer. There is mounting evidence that sugar is not just empty calories and bad for your teeth, but addictive, toxic and the cause of weight gain and obesity. Eating fat does not make you fat. Our brains need fat. Eating high cholesterol foods doesn’t raise your blood cholesterol. There have been many clinical studies in which people gained weight on a high-carb, low-fat diet and lost weight on a low-carb, high fat diet. I’ve done the research for you.
